The Open Meeting Law applies to every public body of a municipality. If you believe that there has been a violation of Vermont’s Open Meeting Law, please download and complete this form, then send it to the listed address to notify Town personnel of the alleged violation and the cure being sought. 

Upon receiving written notice of an alleged violation, the public body must respond publicly to the alleged violation within 10 calendar days. Failure of a public body to respond to a written notice of an alleged violation within 10 calendar days, shall be treated as a denial of the violation pursuant to 1 V.S.A. § 314.
