There are two open positions: one full five-year term (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2031) and one unexpired term (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2030).

Meeting Information

The Commission meets once a month from April through November, and as needed (very infrequently) from December through March. The Commission has some duties that extend beyond meetings as explained more below. 

The Cemetery Commission consists of five Commissioners appointed by the Selectboard to staggered five year terms. (18 V.S.A. § 5373).  Commissioners share a small set of seasonal responsibilities that run May through November — no single person carries the load, and the time commitment is modest.

Shared responsibilities include:

• Coordinate veterans' flag placement in the Spring and removal in late-Fall.
• Record burial information on official Town cemetery maps.
• Convey lots.
• Review work orders.
• Review and sign Burial-Transit permits.
