Meeting Minutes - May 12, 2021
May 12, 2021
Members Present: Jack Price Bea Harvey Cameron Clark Hazel Winter Guest Drew Nelson
Meeting called to order at 3 PM
Old Business:
Hope to get a Balance Sheet to keep track of categories of spending
Spring clean up in the works by Guilmette
We have decided we have to pick up old and broken items and dispose of them. Some of the mementos are getting out of hand. We want only to maintain a neat and pleasant place for our clients
Sarah Mason and Cameron have the Veterans Flags in hand, and the Scouts will put them at the proper graves.
Mulching at the Memorial Garden will be done this weekend.
The seed-um is out of hand at East and Deerview. It has been decided to take a 50" x 50' space and liming it very heavily and see if that makes a difference. The lime is here, and at the shed in East.
New Business:
Review of Cemeteries
East is mostly picked up. I does need mowing. It also has some leaning stones and 2 that are down. Hazel will call Woody about the work needed. Chittenden has a branch down and needs mowing Morse has some l4 to 6 leaning head stones
Hazel will call Woody and alert him to the work needed in Morse and East.
Sale of lots:
The Nepali Church bought 16 lots, and Bea will sell 4 lots next week.
Planned Burials: May 14 East (Please note that in the original notes, I had listed the wrong day) May 19 Deer View May 24 East
Purchased temporary grass markers for marking plots. They can safely be mowed over, and still seen. No harm to mowers.
East Cemetery and Deer View Cemetery will have the gates open on Mother's Day unless there's snow. The gates will be closed in the evening until opening day.
All commissioners have duties they're responsible for, and it works very well.
Respectfully submitted,
Hazel Winter
