Meeting Minutes 4-9-19

Cemetery Meeting April 9, 2019

 

Members present:

    Don Thurston

    Ginger Isham

    Jack Price

    Hazel Winter

 

Meeting called to order at 11.45 April 9, 2019 at the Old Brick Church. 

    The meeting has been changed from the town hall to the Old Brick Church the second Thursday at 11.45 on the second Thursday of the month. 

 

Bruce Hoar, was a guest at the meeting.  He had much good input:

 

    Brush in Morse will be taken care of.

    Deer View maps will be made

        The dead trees will be cut down and new trees planted in the fall

      Chittenden Cemetery will have the row poles will be done this spring

        The edge has to be 66 feet from the center of the highway

     Ginger is going to contact the man that has cleaned the monument in Chittenden Cemetery

 

    Water will be taken care of by the town.

 

Old Business:

 

Jack will go around East Cemetery with another person to look into the weeds we have.

 

Hazel will speak with Woody and get an estimate on the cost of cleaning and repairing the rest of the stones.  He will also send us his insurance.

 

We will abide by what the cemetery deeds say.  Need to find when they were changed.

 

Bob and his crew can start cleaning the cemeteries any time he wishes.  They will not be open the public May 15, not before.  Bob will lock the gates behind him.

 

Need insurance from off all the contractors.

 

We have all flags and holders are set to use.

 

Meeting adjourned at 1 PM.
