5)      BYLAW- REQUESTED CHANGES TO RZD OPEN SPACE REQUIREMENTS

(debrief August 18 meeting, consider draft motions below, e.g. “I, _______ move to…”)

• direct the staff to warn a public hearing based on the draft bylaw language that has already been prepared OR

• direct the staff to prepare finalized bylaw amendment language to require a percentage of open space in the RZD in new subdivisions of parcels greater than 10.5 acres for further review by the Planning Commission OR

• direct the staff to research and draft different or modified bylaw change (specify wildlife, core habitat, connectivity, etc.) to address open pace issues in the RZD. OR

• direct the staff to pursue a broader/longer timeframe project to address development rate, placement, design and pattern, possibly as a comprehensive plan amendment OR  

• direct the staff to acquire specific additional information before making a decision on how to proceed as follows: ________________

• end the process to add an open space requirement to the RZD and inform those making the requested change of their options to pursue a bylaw change by other means (petition)
