Meeting Minutes - June 11, 2020

Minutes of the June 11, 2020 Cemetery Meeting

Members present:

    Jack Price

    Bea Harvey

    Cameron Clark

    Hazel Winter

        Guest: Bruce Hoar

Meeting called to order at 3 PM

We went over the financial Statement, it appears we have about $10,000 left in this fiscal year for any and all expenses.

The mowing being done by the Public Works Dept will be charged out at Bob Gokey's old rate.  Bruce is gathering data about hours it takes to do the job, and will, at some point this summer, contact companies about doing it on a flat fee basis.

The lime has been spread, no seeding until fall, then possibly just fescue.

Headstone cleaning in East Cemetery, Sections 1 and 2 has been completed.

New Business:

Corner stone placement, we will pay $100 for the 4 stones to be installed.

Discussion of billing and payment of cremains in the Memorial Garden.  We will charge $100 for each cremains burial.  Both Bob Gokey and Gordon St Hilaire will be offered the jobs.

Still in need of signs for the walk in entrance at East Cemetery.  Suggestion was made that we ask Don Thurston if he would be interested in making one for us.

The Boutin stone in Deer View is loose from the base.  Bianchi Memorials will be over and see what can be done to straighten this out.  At the stone has been there for 15 years, he doesn't have an obligation to fix it, but is willing to look at it, see what needs to be done to make it safe as a good will gesture.

Bea is going to contact Bob Gokey for paperwork to be filled out, and possibly about the Memorial Garden and corner stones.

Meeting adjourned 4:30

Respectfully submitted,

Hazel Winter Sec.
