Meeting Minutes - May 19, 2022
May 19, 2022 Cemetery Meeting Meeting called to order 3 PM Members present: Jack Price Old Business: Accounting is very hard to figure out, so we will simply get an occasional balance. Corner stones have been moved from Ave A to the shed in Deer View. 4 sets of 4 each will be divided between our 2 workers. Cost of installation is $150 for each set of 4. Early opening of cemeteries went fine. Weather cooperated, and all was well. Memorial Garden will be weeded and mulched. Woody will submit his proof of insurance, I talked with him again Monday. New Business: No personal memorabilia will be allowed in the Memorial Garden, only fresh flowers or a small plant on the perimeter with permission of the cemetery commission. Our new contractor, Mr Stromme, for upkeep of the cemeteries seems to be doing a very good job. On time, professional, and pleasant to deal with. New flags are in. They're in the shed at East in boxed that look like they hold fence! Nice to get them in. Bea and Drew have sold 2 lots in Deer View, and have ordered the needed corner stones. We all have a burial schedule, and Bea will add to it as we get new requests for burial. Sedum is still growing in East, and we need to take another look at just what to do. The lime applications don't seem to be doing much to eradicate it. Drew is looking into finding paupers graves in Morse Cemetery. There is one section we believe they are in. A posting is I believe, up for the need of one more Cemetery Commissioner, as Bea's term is up June 30. What a loss that will be. She has more knowledge of the cemeteries than all the rest of us together! You will be sorely missed Bea. Schedule is made for summer vacations for the board. Respectfully submitted,
