Meeting Minutes 5-3-16
May 3, 2016 Minutes of Cemetery Meeting Members present: Meeting called to order at 6 PM. Discussion of Cemetery Commission taking over the care of the VFW Memorial. Possibly take down the monument and put in paving bricks, which will be sold to people that want to have a veteran's name inscribed. Much discussion, no decision. Don will talk with Deb Beckett so we can know just what it all entails. Deb Beckett is in charge of flag placement and disposal. Thank you Deb. We used 60 cubic feet of mulch on the Memorial Garden this year, next year we will use a minimum of 70 cubic feet for thicker coverage. We will also make a grid for future burials in the Garden. The stones in East Cemetery that have been cleaned look just beautiful. Hopefully people will slow down for swing in to see them. Our cemeteries are something we're very proud of and try to keep them looking good. Discussion of workers insurance forms, and getting the proofs. We are down to 3 members on a 5 member commission. We would like 2 new members. It really doesn't take a lot of time, retired individuals welcome, as are working ones.
