Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) works with individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness to provide financial assistance. Financial assistance may take the form of back rent; first month’s rent; security deposits; or short-term rental subsidies. CVOEO also offers housing navigation support to individuals and families who are experiencing literal, federally defined homelessness.  Services may include advocacy, guidance, referrals to other supportive services and programs and forms assistance.

CVOEO provides assistance with paying for heating fuel and utilities through Seasonal Fuel Assistance, Crisis Fuel Assistance and the Warmth Support Program.

Green Mountain Power and Vermont Gas offer monthly discounts to income eligible households. CVOEO can assist with the application process.
