Microtransit Stakeholder Working Group

The Town of Williston received funding from VT AOT through the Transportation Mobility Innovations Grant program to conduct a feasibility study for a microtransit service, to provide on-demand transportation in Williston to complement current public transit options in Taft Corners. The Planning Department has contracted with Via Mobility, Inc. to complete this study. The study will include:

  • Existing conditions analysis
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Develop and assess service alternatives
  • Develop demand estimates and conduct on-demand simulations
  • Develop service analysis and implementation strategy

The Microtransit Stakeholder Working Group, consisting of representatives of key organizations (nonprofits; community resource providers; human services transportation providers; local and regional planners) will provide high-level feedback and guidance over the course of the study.
